What is a segregated production?

Segregated production means we process bio-based materials in dedicated production batches, with a physical separation along the production workflow, from raw material storage and handling to end product packaging and stock.

Throughout this segregated process, we ensure that bio-based feedstocks are completely separated, from the initial raw material sourcing to the final manufacturing step. This rigorous distinction guarantees our products are purely derived from renewable sources, allowing for precise labeling and certification.

USDA Certified Biobased labeling

The Sarbio® offering in the United States includes some Sarbio® products with the USDA Certified Biobased Product label. This label assures that the percentage of renewable bio-based content is third-party certified and strictly monitored by the USDA. The label is part of the USDA-led BioPreferred® Program that assists the development and expansion of markets for bio-based products. Contact our team to discuss the potential to register and certify additional products.
