Welcome to our updated Product Selection Guide, which matches Sartomer products with your unique requirements. Our new guide functionality allows you to
Our updated guide allows you to filter products by selecting items in the Applications, Features and Properties "panes." In these panes, the numbers in parentheses next to the filters indicate how many products share that characteristic. For example, the Applications pane below indicates that 27 Sartomer products are appropriate for Acrylics, while 293 can be used for Adhesives.
Before you make any filter selections, your pool of matching products comprises our entire product catalog. Each filter selection you make reduces that "pool" and refreshes the three panes to show ONLY those filters associated with products in the newly-reduced pool.
Since every selection you make reduces the product pool and refreshes your filtering screen, please wait for the guide to process your first selection before you make another. Failure to wait until processing is complete may result in zero products.
The application pane allows you to select ONE application. (While you can choose multiple features and properties at one time, you can choose only one application.)
Some general applications, such as Adhesives, are broken down into subcategories. To expand an application to see its subcategories, click the + alongside its name; to condense expanded applications, click the -. Select an application by checking the box next to its name. The Features and Properties panes will then refresh to show you the characteristics of the products that match your selected application.
You can also search for specific applications, features or properties using the search input field in the upper right of each respective pane.
Features are qualitative properties that a product either has, or doesn't have. Features do not have specific values like Properties do.
Items which appear in the Properties pane – like Acid Number – have associated numeric values which we'll show you in the next step of the selection process, the Product Listing.
While you're narrowing your product pool, we'll keep track of the filters you select in the Selected Criteria area, and the number of products satisfying your criteria will appear at the top and bottom of the page.
Other functions
will take you to your Product Listing.
will remove all your filters, offering you a clean slate. You can also turn off individual filters by unchecking the box alongside.
The Show Products button delivers you to a list of all products that meet the criteria you selected (shown in the Selected Criteria area, where you can still deselect any selected items).
For each product, you'll see its associated product line, product code, name and, if you selected Properties criteria, the product's property value (keyed to the properties listed in the Selected Criteria area). In the example above, we filtered by one feature and four properties: P1 is Acid Number, P2 is Color, P3 is Density and P4 is Refractive Index.
In a separate Products Subgroups area, you'll see the product line subcategories that the products fall into. If you're not interested in a subgroup, deselect it. If you need Epoxy Acrylates, for instance, you'd deselect the other two subgroups listed in the example above.
You can sort products by property values by clicking on the Property column header. Clicking on P1 above will sort products by Acid Number (in ascending order). You can also build sorts: clicking on the P2 column header will perform an additional sort atop the first, so that any products whose values are equal after the first sort will be sorted (again, ascending) by their P2 values. As you build your nested sort, your sorting order will be indicated by numbers below each column header.
Other functions
