Description:
CN2207 is a medium-viscosity polyester acrylate oligomer with low monomer content that has utility in UV/EB litho ink formulations. The combination of good cure speed with excellent water balance gives CN2207 excellent on-press performance. CN2207 demonstrates good pigment wetting of CMYK and white pigments that are commonly used in litho ink formulations. Features and typical physical properties for CN2207 are shown below.

Using the model litho ink formulation below, CN2207 was compared to an industry standard polyester acrylate.

When compared to the industry standard polyester acrylate, CN2207 exhibits increased cure speed and decreased tack and yield stress. The low percent change in tack and the de-inking and inking times from Tackoscope testing indicate that CN2207 emulsifies well, but will also release the fount.
